YOU ARE A CEO

Now that the turkey, ham and everything else has been put away and the house has been put back into order, everyone, yes everyone, begins to ponder about Christmas.  With today being the proverbial 'Black Friday', many of you have been to the mall or are headed to the mall today to take advantage of 'the great deals' that are out there.

This is the part of Christmas that disheartens me and saddens me for the most part.  It is the commercialization of a Heavenly Celebration that Madison Avenue marketing gurus have manipulated over the years.  Christmas is more than the wrapping and tinsel and the debt incurred to please others.  Someone once told me that Christmas is a time where you spend money that you don't have to buy something you don't need for people that you don't really like.

Despite that, I believe every person can be a CEO, Christian Encouraging Others.  There is not enough encouraging going on around the table, BUT I believe it is a choice we can and we should make as believers and blood bought servants to our Lord and Savior.

In the Bible it says, "For I know the plans I have for you declared the Lord, plans to prosper you not to harm you, plans for a hope and a future"  Jeremiah 29:11

That verse is for you and me, and anyone else walking today, and that is the GOOD NEWS! It is our responsibility to share the Good News of The Gospel of Jesus Christ and the easiest way to do that is to encourage others around you on a consistent basis.  GOD wants you to Prosper (you need to look up the Greek definition) and not be in harm's way, GOD has plans for YOUR Future and YOUR Hope.

Go out and preach how good God is, and if you have to, use a few words.  Let your life show what you have received and what you believe. This is a wonderful time of the year to share the unconditional love of Jesus.

I challenge all that are reading this blog to make an EFFORT to encourage others, to find something uplifting to say and to show the love of Christ to others. Remember, Jesus is not a season, HE is the reason...... period.

Blessings to you and yours always in the love of Christ ~ Rev Bu

GIVE THANKS

Aloha and Happy, Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  We all have so much to be thankful for, each and every one of us are so very blessed.

Being that today, Thanksgiving Day, is a day we should be thankful, I wanted to put in perspective of how we live our lives...... it is in the New Testament in the book of  Luke we find 10 lepers that approach Jesus to be healed.  He heals all 10 but only 1 returns to give thanks.

“One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, “Praise God!” He fell to the ground at Jesus’ feet, thanking him for what he had done. This man was a Samaritan.”  Luke‬ ‭17:15-16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

If you follow the teachings of the Bible, you know that Jews did not interact with the people of Samaria, as the story about Jesus and the woman at the well comes to mind.  ( John 4)

Sometimes it takes a stranger, someone that we don't even like to example to us how we should behave.  In this passage, it was a Samaritan leper who was so grateful to Jesus for healing him from leprosy.

We need to be like the Samaritan and SHOUT... THANK YOU JESUS... for all HE has done, is doing and will continue to do in our lives.

Blessings to you and your ohana always ~ Rev Bu
